On November 18th, a concert will be held in Chicago to celebrate the Day of the National Awakeners. This event marks the first joint concert-performance by three of the oldest ensembles in the community: Ensemble “Horo,” Club “Vereya,” and the dance group “Zagora.” The event will take place at The Academy at Forest View, 2121 S Goebbert Rd, Arlington Heights, IL 60005.
What can you expect? A performance filled with beauty, color, rhythm, and emotion, say the organizers.
The celebration, for which BG VOICE is a media partner, will be even more special this year as it coincides with the 70th birthday of Irina Gocheva, the founder of Ensemble “Horo.”
Mrs. Irinka Gocheva is a professional dancer, ballet master, and choreographer-educator. She began her artistic career while studying at the State Choreographic School in Sofia and later continued at the Academy of Music, Dance, and Fine Arts in Plovdiv.
