Working with the dancers from the “Horo” ensemble and their leaders has been an absolute pleasure. Beyond the warm welcome and the excellent organization of the rehearsals, what truly stood out was their
dedication, discipline, and the genuine passion they brought to learning new routines. These are people who willingly give up their weekends to dance Bulgarian folk dances, staying connected to their roots and each
other. I want to give a special shout-out to Irina Gocheva for her unwavering commitment to this challenging mission and the impressive
technical preparation of the group. It was an honor and a joy to work together!

Irinka is a true revivalist, deeply dedicated to preserving and honoring
the values that have kept the Bulgarian spirit and cultural heritage
alive through the centuries. Her intentions have always been to continue
this tradition with the younger generation by preserving and passing on
Bulgarian traditions, art, and folklore. This is why she has established
many children’s schools in collaboration with various educational
institutions and centers.

The Horo ensemble has always made a significant impact at the Euro
Balkan Folk Festival! Their participation not only showcases the rich
Bulgarian cultural heritage but also creates a wonderful opportunity for

and energy to the festival, fostering appreciation for their Bulgarian
